On November 18, 2024, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Ismatullo Nasredin met with the Regional Representative of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Afghanistan, Central Asia, Iran and Pakistan Oliver Stolpe.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of cooperation between Tajikistan and the UNODC, including border security, combating cross-border threats such as terrorism and extremism, and interaction with the country’s law enforcement agencies.

In addition, the parties confirmed their position on their readiness to further strengthen cooperation and develop mechanisms to eliminate existing threats to peace and security. Ismatullo Nasredin congratulated the Regional Representative on his appointment to position and wished him success in exercising his duties directed to strengthen regional stability.

On June 3, 2024, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin and the Regional Representative of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Central Asia Ms. Ashita Mittal.

During the meeting, the parties discussed key issues within the framework of UNODC, in particular the progress of the implementation of projects under the UNODC Program for Central Asia for 2022-2025.

Expressing satisfaction with the current level of cooperation between Tajikistan and UNODC, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan thanked A. Mittal for her efforts as the UNODC Regional Representative in Central Asia and wished her success in her future endeavors.

On October 6, 2023, at the UN Office in Vienna, a meeting was held between the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the UN Office in Vienna, Idibek Kalandar and the Regional Representative of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) for Central Asia, Ashita Mittal.

 

 

 

 

 

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the state and prospects of cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and UNODC within the framework of the projects of current organization and relevant regional and international instruments on preventing and combating illicit drug trafficking.

On 21 September 2023 a meeting of the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, Mr. Sharaf Sheralizoda with the Regional Director of the ILO Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia, Ms. Beate Andrees was held in Geneva.

 

 

 

 

During the meeting a cooperation between Tajikistan and the International Labour Organization, implementation of specific cooperation projects and exchange of experience as well as issues of submission of reports of Tajikistan to the Conventions of the Organization has been discussed.

İlham Əliyev Dünya Bankının Cənubi Qafqaz üzrə regional direktorunu qəbul edib

Azərbaycan Respublikasının Prezidenti İlham Əliyev sentyabrın 22-də Dünya Bankının Cənubi Qafqaz üzrə regional direktoru xanım Roland Praysı qəbul edib.

 

 

 

 

Dövlətimizin başçısı Dünya Bankının Azərbaycan iqtisadiyyatının modernləşdirilməsinə və şaxələndirilməsinə verdiyi dəstəyə görə minnətdarlığını bildirdi. Ötən illər ərzində əməkdaşlığın yüksək səviyyədə olduğunu deyən Prezident İlham Əliyev gələcək konkret istiqamətlərin və layihələrin müəyyənləşdirilməsinin önəmini vurğuladı. Dövlətimizin başçısı ölkəmizin uzun illər xarici borcun azaldılması istiqamətində səylər göstərdiyini və artıq bu məqsədə nail olunduğunu qeyd etdi.

 

 

 

 

Azərbaycanla artıq 30 ildir əməkdaşlığın həyata keçirilməsindən məmnunluğunu bildirən Dünya Bankının Cənubi Qafqaz üzrə regional direktoru dedi ki, bu gün Azərbaycan əhəmiyyətli inkişafa nail olub və yüksək nəticələr əldə edib. Qonaq bu inkişaf yolunda ölkəmizlə tərəfdaş olmaqdan məmnunluğunu ifadə etdi.

 

 

 

 

Görüşdə Dünya Bankının Azərbaycanda mövcud fəaliyyət istiqamətləri, ölkəmizin qarşısında duran və “Azərbaycan 2030: sosial-iqtisadi inkişafa dair Milli Prioritetlərə” uyğun olan yeni istiqamətlər və layihələr barədə müzakirələr aparıldı.

 

 

 

 

Qeyd edildi ki, Azərbaycan ilə Dünya Bankı arasında əsas əməkdaşlıq sahələri bərpaolunan enerji, yaşıl iqtisadiyyat və şəhərlər, nəqliyyat əlaqələndirməsi, kənd təsərrüfatı və irriqasiya sahələrində həyata keçirilən layihələrlə bağlıdır.
